Our current 6th Grade Olympics Chairs are stepping down after four years as their kiddos promote to high school, so TPMS PTSA is looking for one or more amazing individuals who would like to take this event on in future years. The PE Department and Homerooms take care of the running of the events, so the job duties of the PTSA Chair(s) involve volunteer coordination, displaying event signage and organizing decor, and stocking the snack bar through donations. Ideally, you would be available to shadow the event this year (May 21 and 22) or be attending it as a spectator.
Many hands make light work, so this would suit a duo or small group who can share the tasks and who perhaps have more students to come at TPMS in the next few years. The Olympics celebrates its 50th year this year, so it is a well-oiled machine at this point! Full training will be given, and there's always lots of volunteer support for this incredible event.
